Born To Hunt

Sculpture of a boy and his dog

BORN TO HUNT (1 1/3 life-size) by Pamela Harr

Ty Milne was a charter member of the Greater Glendive Community Foundation who passed away in August 2016.  He was the owner of the John Deere Implement Shop and his time and philanthropic contributions made Glendive a better place to live.  In his memory, his family commissioned Pamela to create a memorial representing his work and his love of hunting with his Labrador dog, Bella.  His shirt also carries the number “32” which he proudly wore when his DCHS basketball team won the 1980 to 82 state championships. The community pitched in by purchasing 50 of the small sculptural models to pay for the bronze which resides on Merrill Avenue next to the Welcome to Glendive sign.

Castings of the small model are available from Pamela.
