If a horse is trained to stand still when her bridle reins are on the ground, we call her “ground tied”. Our family’s horse Babe taught all of us kids how to ride. Babe was very wise. If we accidentally dropped our reins, Babe knew just how to hold her head so that we couldn’t reach them unless we got off to gathered them up again.
