Pamela Harr is a graduate of Oregon State University (General Science) and the University of Iowa (Physical Therapy). After her first husband Gerry Harr was killed in Viet Nam in 1971 she became a sculptor out of an interest that grew from her work with handicapped children. Her sculptures consist primarily of pioneer women and children and religious themes as well as a series of historical carrousel horses. She has also authored articles for several publications. Pamela is active as a fund raiser and works as an artist in residence. She lives is Glendive, Montana with her six children.
Pamela recently completed the life-sized bugler and flag-draped casket for the Northeast Montana Veterans Memorial at Fort Peck, Montana. This video is Pamela being interviewed about the Memorial sculptures by Dorothy Sturlaugson of KXGN TV.
