When I see these beautiful oil pumps working for American independence, I marvel over the engineering design which makes use of levers, fulcrums, weights, counter weights, pulleys and gears. After researching a variety of styles of actual oil pumps, I chose this design for its interesting simplicity. I built the model out of wood, clay and wax, then made molds for wax reproductions which were cast into bronze at 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit.
You may customize your sculpture by requesting the name of your company, ranch, or farm added on the door of the pickup at no extra charge. If you prefer I can also customize the casting by removing the pickup and the driver so that you have only the pump. ~Pamela
