Deadwood Stage

Bronze sculpture of the Deadwood stagecoach.

The utility flat-sided mud wagon was built for the rugged run from Deadwood, South Dakota to Sidney, Montana and towns along the line. The fast moving wagon is depicted with no spokes in the wheels to give it a sense of speed. the coach could carry nine souls counting the driver and the man riding shotgun.
