Wild fish that were not raised in a hatchery put up a better fight when caught. One of our collectors told me a story about her husband who traveled to New Zealand to fish for the good ones. The story goes that he had to sneak up to the riverbank so the fish wouldn’t see him approach. Then he had to crouch low to remain hidden as he cast his line for some of the most exciting fishing in his life. .
