Miniature Skull Series by Pamela Harr
Eighteen small bronze sculptures of a variety of domestic and wildlife skulls.
2.5” to 6” wide, $175 to $250
Pamela was a physical therapist and has had a lifetime interest in bones. Each is anatomically correct modeled after an actual animal skull. Starting in 1976 inspired by a fossilized Big Horn Sheep skull found in a cave and shown to her by a US Park Ranger, she created the first one and then started sculpting a different animal each year for collectors.
“The Big Horn Sheep is still my favorite but the Mule Deer runs a close second. I found the model for this one tangled in a bucket of barbed wire and an antique hide scale at an auction. These beautiful horns came off a ranch in Hells Canyon, Idaho.”
