7” tall ED 200 $995
This is the model for a 6’ tall whimsical tribute to the history of library cats, to be installed beside the Glendive Public Library in 2024. In the Middle Ages , in order to stop the destruction of priceless manuscripts, monasteries kept cats to control the rat population. Quotes about the joys of reading will be inscribed on the spines of the books on the monumental sculpture such as this one by Mason Cooley, “Reading gives us some place to go when we have to stay where we are.”
